Module 2: What about me?

In order to build the emotional resilience of your team members and before you can identify and deal with any wellbeing concerns, it is important to take time to consider your own wellbeing. Regardless of how resilient you are, there will be times when you feel that things are getting on top of you and you begin to feel stressed.

This can be caused by lots of things, either at work or in your personal life. These triggers are different for everyone but we will all have them. It doesn't mean that you are vulnerable or weak, it just means you are human.

It is important to take a proactive approach to managing your own wellbeing. This means trying to understand what makes you feel good and what makes you stressed. When you feel under pressure, you will behave differently to how you would normally. This will have an impact on your team and their own wellbeing.

This module aims to help you to:

  • take a pro-active approach to maintaining your own emotional wellbeing
  • explore your own wellbeing
  • consider how your wellbeing and resilience may impact your team
  • understand the triggers that affect how you feel
